He sensed it. He sensed him. It was all clear now. he wondered if this is where angels go after death, no, he knew that there was nothing after death, though only a few truly knew and one of them was here, one of them is here in this land, allowing anyone, anything to sense him from miles away. Was that how he established himself in this world? Did others fear him as they used to when he bore the name of the Messenger? He was always different. The youngest archangel was the one that he was sure would follow their brother Lucifer but he was surprised. It didn’t happen like that at all. The messenger had left before that. That made him furious.
Michael stood there on the mountain, emotionless, and serious. He knew that if he allowed his brother to sense him he would come running. Or so he hoped. He probably figured that his younger brother would run in the opposite direction, that the coward would not face his brother. Michael couldn’t predict his brother’s behavior at all. That was something he had always hated about the Messenger. He and Lucifer were too much alike on different levels.
He shook his head. Yes, he imagined he scared his brother. He just kept him on his “radar” though. He wouldn’t lose him that easily. He knew that his brother was going to answer every question that he had for him.
Michael’s mind had drifted from everything that he was going to say to his brother to what Heaven was like when they were all up there, including Lucifer. It wasn’t that he didn’t love his brothers, he loved them very much, it was just the choices that they all had made. The Messenger left, and Lucifer, the devil, disobeyed at a horrible cost. He remembered when father had made them all, and then added the youngest, the messenger to the Garrison. He then remembered all the others created before the humans were created. The others weren’t as powerful as him and the firsts, and didn’t have as much of a “freedom” in Heaven. Father wanted it that way. He knew that for a fact. The others hadn’t seen father before only the firsts have.
The messenger hadn’t come running. The first archangel grew angry. He sensed where his younger brother was. A beach by the ocean. His eyes narrowed as he had appeared there.
Michael looked around. There was a calmness to the area, the yellow sand beneath his shoes glistened in the sunlight as well as the light reflecting from the vast waters of the ocean, and the sun itself reflecting. He could hear the roar of the ocean as it hit the shore and he could hear the birds in the sky. The smell was fresh; it was clean not dirty like a lot of places on earth that were inhabited by the humans. Michael wondered why his brother chose this place of all places.
Something dawned on him though. It was peaceful. His younger brother loved peace. It was quiet and his brother loved quiet. His brother had always gotten mad at him and Lucifer for yelling at each other, and it always puzzled him.
His brother was standing there, his back facing Michael. He was wearing a green coat, blue jeans and brown shoes from what he had seen. He knew that this had to be his brother because a human would over heat in those clothes at the beach, but an angel? No an angel wouldn’t. They didn’t need to keep warm; they didn’t need to keep cool. They had no body temperature to worry about as well as a lot of other things.
Michael just stood there in silence, staring at his brother who was a mere two hundred feet in front of him.

The Trickster stood there in front of the ocean. Everything was just peaceful, quiet, and tranquil and that’s exactly what the youngest archangel was looking for. He closed his eyes and brought the tip of the bottle of chocolate wine to his lips. He had started drinking it, hoping to get something but he knew that it wouldn’t happen. He was buzzed, which to him was still oh so very far from being drunk. He knew that this was wrong, that this wasn’t the way to handle his own, but at the moment it was all he really had. He was here alone and alone is how he will always be. The Trickster listened to the sounds around him, and he drank more. He needed this.
All of the sudden, the Trickster dropped his bottle on the ground. It was empty so he didn’t have to worry about spilling it. He sensed him, he sensed it. It was his older brother Michael. He knew that Michael sensed him and that’s why he was trying to get the youngest archangel to him. The Trickster shook his head. No, he wouldn’t go. He didn’t want to face his brother. He knew that it wouldn’t end well for him and his brother would kill him with a quick snap of his fingers. Gabriel wouldn’t do that, he didn’t want that, or did he?
The youngest archangel could go to him and have his brother kill him and that way he would be here anymore. He could be in the darkness again, just him by himself. He liked that idea. He then continued to think. Was he going about this all wrong? Maybe dying wasn’t what he needed right now. He didn’t want to upset father either if that was the case. Maybe there was something that God had wanted Gabriel to do and that’s why he was brought back from the dead. Gabriel would never know that though, and nor did he care to ever know that. He just wanted to be left alone in peace, no angels, no archangels and certainly no Winchesters and Demigods.
Gabriel just thought too soon though for the brother that he had dreaded to talk to and to see was now right behind him. Gabriel sighed. He gave a small sarcastic laugh as he had pulled out another bottle of wine. He turned around and smirked to his brother before taking a very large drink from the bottle.
“Hey Mikey, long time no see, bro.” Gabriel said to his brother, completely losing his mind.

Michael stood there staring at his brother who probably noticed that he was behind him but didn’t care about that at all. Michael let out a sigh and he then watched Gabriel turn around. He kept a close eye on his brother. The Messenger was holding a bottle of what looked like human alcohol. What has his brother been up too? Michael looked at him. there was something wrong with him, something that Michael wanted to fix, but again, at the same time he didn’t really want to. He felt that his brother got what he deserved but again, he had defended humanity and died for it.
He had called him Mikey, something that Lucifer used to call him. that made the archangel flinch. Gabriel acted different. He wasn’t the angel that Michael knew all those years ago, he wasn’t the same. That made him worry about his brother.
Gabriel Michael managed to get out staring at his brother who had betrayed Heaven and participated in the human’s sin. His brother wasn’t well. maybe there could be something done about it. Maybe Michael wouldn’t punish his brother after all and hope that he would accept Michaels help. After all, they are brothers.
you ran away from Heaven. I’m supposed to punish you for it according to the writings of Heaven Michael said, completely emotionless.
The breeze had blown through Michael’s vessel’s short dark hair as he stood there, staring at his younger brother dead in the eyes. He looked Gabriel up and down once, and realized that his brother truly was a wreck. He knew that Lucifer had killed Gabriel, could that be why? Michael let out a small sigh and just stared at him.
Sure, they all had their problems with each other and in general but there were still rules that needed to be followed and the first knew that. He did have a problem killing his brother but what had to be done had to be done. There was no way around it unless Gabriel agreed to come back with him, fight with him. It was better than Lucifer getting to him and killing him again.

His brother being here, that was the threat. The youngest archangel wasn’t really fond of him at the moment though he wasn’t really fond of Lucifer either. He just wanted to be left alone and Michael wasn’t quite doing that now was he? It made the youngest archangel a little unsettled, something he didn’t like feeling at all and he knew that Michael could probably see that in his face. The youngest archangel folded his arms across his chest and he just stared at his brother, waiting for Michael to try something, do something or even say something. Nothing came but the roars of the waters behind the youngest archangel. Gabriel shook his head.
Gabriel. That was all that Michael had said to him. Gabriel rolled his eyes. Maybe Michael was just that speechless, that upset with him that he didn’t even have the words to tell The Trickster. Gabriel didn’t mind that. Maybe his brother would just kill him in the end. That would be lovely. Gabriel raised an eyebrow at his older brother, waiting for something more than just his name being said back to him.
Michael then stated the obvious. Gabriel nodded. Yes he ran away from Heaven and yes he knew that he was supposed to be punished for that. Michael just stood there, stating something about the writings of Heaven’s laws and then nothing. Michael was completely still, no sign of emotions, unlike Gabriel, who seemed frantic.
Gabriel held the bottle of wine in his right hand and his left hand sat perfectly still against his left side. He slid his left hand into his coat pocket finally. He knew Michael was probably watching every move that the youngest archangel makes.
“thanks, Captain Obvious.” Gabriel retorted to his older brother and shook his head. He knew the rules, he knew everything and his brother had the nerve to come down and tell him that. what did Michael think? That Gabriel was stupid.
“and… you… are going to be the one to do it aren’t you?” Gabriel asked, taking his index finger off of the bottle and pointing at Michael like that still with the bottle in his hand. “why?” Gabriel then asked him.

Michael was in disbelief. He is still unsure how his brother is even alive and how he even got here, how they had even come to this. It puzzled the first one so much but he knew that all answers would reveal themselves in time and he knew that his younger brother knew that too. Gabriel had called Michael Captain Obvious. Michael tilted his head to the side, not understanding what Gabriel had just said and Michael remembered and realized that his brother had been on earth for centuries, millenniums and knew a lot more about human language, mannerisms and other stuff than Michael did. Michael figured that it was a figure of human speech, that’s why he didn’t understand.
Michael then looked at his brother when he had asked Michael if he was going to do it. Michael didn’t answer his younger brother. Was he going to do it? Was Michael going to hurt one person that he cared so deeply about over leaving heaven? Michael knew he had to, but what if Gabriel had changed? What if his brother wanted to return home? Would Michael offer that chance up to his brother to return home with him and Michael wouldn’t harm him in anyway? If he did this for Gabriel would he have to do it for the others? Michael had so many questions and didn’t know how to answer a single one.
Gabriel then asked him why. Michael couldn’t answer that either, well so he thought. He had plenty of thoughts running through his head. He would just have to start shooting them at his brother.
You betrayed Heaven and father, that’s why. Michael had stated to his brother. not to mention betraying me. I should kill you. Michael then said, still emotionless.

The Trickster looked at his older brother. The feeling of hatred burned with in him and yet there is a bit of love there as well. The Trickster didn't want to admit that he loved his brother very much. The Trickster loves all of his siblings even though he would never say that to them. Gabriel just stared at Michael. The youngest archangel was picking his words ever so carefully, and being as vague as he possibly could. He knew that his brother didn't want to harm him at all it was just their nature, it was just therapy they were taught to do things.
Michael had then said that Gabriel had betrayed heaven and him and his father. The Tricksters eyes narrowed at his brother and he let out a frustrated, yet silent sigh. He looked folded his arms across his chest and he waited for his brother to say something else and something else was that he should kill him. The Trickster shook his head and he opened his arms, resting them just below parallel to the ground.
"then do it! I'm done playing games! I'm done running!" the trickster said to him angrily. "kill me! I miss it, I miss the darkness, Mikey. Yeah, that's all we see after death. Truthfully? I liked it! You want to know why bro? Because it was peaceful and quiet. I didn't have to listen to you all fight! I'm done living so kill me brother, kill me now and that will be it." the Trickster said angrily to his oldest brother.

Michael just stood there, motionless and emotionless listening to his brother speak about what they have to look forward to after death. He knew that his brother had some issues but he didn’t know that it was this bad. He turned away from his insane brother. He let out a sigh. He would just leave here. He didn’t want to do anymore damage to his brother’s head. Michael turned around and he shook his head to Gabriel.
I can see that living is punishment enough. Let me help you brother. Michael ad said to his brother. Michael was concerned for Gabriel. He showed that on his face now. maybe the not so emotionless angel had become full of sorrow, full of guilt that he had allowed Gabriel to get into the state that he was in.
I was upset that Lucifer killed you. It wasn’t necessary. I know we weren’t the closest, you and I but I would like to change that. Michael continued, hoping that Gabriel would take him up on his offer.
