Thorin had been stripped. He was powerless to her charms, to her requests. Around her, he was no longer strong and condescendingly powerful. She was the one who mastered him, who told him what to do, when to stay, how much protection she needed or wanted... He wondered how she'd done that so easily. It did not mean, of course, that she had taken from him all his manly charms. He was still a fighter, for her. But he was a fool for her too. And he knew that he should not have been so quick to let her in, but to be completely honest, he could not have stopped it if he'd tried. All that Thorin could do now was hope she would not forsake him now that he was her slave.
"I will take you wherever you please. As long as it is suited for someone like you, as long as it's safe." His promise was given in husky words, his hard, masculine eyes promising protection and honour and loyalty and anything else. At any other time, with anyone else, Thorin would be ashamed of his behaviour and shake himself out of it. But Leona? He wanted her to see this. For some reason, he wanted her to be allowed in.
He was a bit surprised at how she shied from his words. Though she may have tried to guard her timidness or gauge her reaction to him, she was not completely successful and he noticed. He smiled a little bit. "You think I'm lying." He took her chin in his hand, looked her in the eye. "I will never say false to you. You are gorgeous, Leona. Gorgeous." He smiled and was quickly much too close to her, letting her lips take him to realms he never had the time or desire to explore.
Her kisses were heavenly. The sounds, though, that emitted from her mouth, worried him, and as he pulled away from her, he needed her to understand something. "Do you know what you're doing, Leona? I'm afraid... If you keep on, I cannot restrain myself much more. I do not wish to claim your innocence. I do not wish to hurt you." She was dangerously on the edge with him, she was making him nervous. And he needed her to understand what she was about to bring about in him. He could not waste this fragile trust on an act that he knew he would hate himself for if he took advantage of her. And he was a king. He had more honour than that.
