Lend me an ear, I'll tell you a story
'Bout a man who didn't know how to be
Name: Jon Snow
Nicknames: 'Bastard'
Age: Fifteen
Fandom: Game of Thrones
I was playing dead every morning
I was taking dives every night
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 134 lbs
Hair color: black
Eye color: dark brown
General Appearance: Jon is not particularly tall, nor is he a huge, fierce man. But he is strong, and he is a fighter, being part of the Night Guard. He does have the charming good looks of the Starks, though he always disowns the name because he knows that he is the bastard child of Eddard Stark. His skin is pale, and especially accentuated by the dark black hair that covers him. His hair is unruly and rather curly, and cut down for events of the state. He also keeps up a five-o-clock shadow, sometimes thicker than others, to keep his face warm. His eyes are a very dark ash brown, also a good contrast to his skin. He is well-built, and he has a good store of muscles and strength in him. Jon can be teasing but is not ever brash in speech.
So I'm hanging on with all of my power
I'm hanging on as tight as a noose
Strengths: physical and battle; loyalty; his wolf, Ghost
Weaknesses: his standing in the House Stark, being a bastard.
Fears: The downfall of the House Stark, warfare that would kill his half-siblings
General Personality: Jon, as a younger man, had formerly been distant and a little bit bitter. Mostly, he'd felt like an outsider, due in a large part to Catelyn's dislike of him, even though he was raised with his half-siblings like a Stark. He denied the name always, though, knowing that it would never be his because he was a bastard. He did do well with his fellow children, though, and opened up more to them than anyone. He was always subservient to all his elders, though. Eventually, though, after Jon joined the night guard, he grew through his experiences to become, instead of the initial fighter, a natural leader and protector. He became a more important figure in the Night Guard, caring genuinely for his men and for those around him. Jon's always been fairly well-intentioned, but he has begun to learn the loyalty and honor of manhood.
I've heard everything that I wanted
Had so much I threw it away
Family:
Father: Eddard Stark
Mother: Unknown
Half-Siblings: Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, & Rickon Stark
History:
**playing as Jon at the end of the first season/book, A Game of Thrones
Jon was born to a mother that he never knew and Eddard Stark, who was otherwise married. He was brought home to his step-mother, Catelyn, who was told to raise him alongside her own children. She despised this task, Jon ever being a symbol of her husband's infidelity, and since has always disliked Jon and being in his presence. Eventually, Jon was persuaded to join the Night Watch by his uncle, and when he was nearing manhood, Jon took the vow and began to wear the traditional black of the Watch. He kept his pet and good friend, his direwolf, Ghost, at his side, as his constant companion. During the beginning of his run with the Night Watch, Jon did not get along too well with the others.
He got into a fight with some, and it earned him a talk with Donal Noye, who convinced Jon of the correct way to conduct himself. Jon immediately began to bloom, becoming a natural leader and a better fit to the Watch, making friends and becoming highly respected. He was initially upset when he found out that he was not assigned to be a ranger, but a steward, but eventually Jon realized that this assignment was actually meant to help prepare him for command later on in his life. The man he was to serve, Jeor Mormont, was good to him. Jon saved him once in battle, which earned him a new Valyrian steel sword, named Longclaw.
There came a time, however, when Jon had troubles figuring out his loyalties. He had such ties to the House Stark but also vows to the Night Watch. When the War of the Five Kings began, Jon found himself torn. He was eventually imprisoned and later tried to run from the Watch, securing death for himself, but was brought back before he could be killed. The next day, Mormont chastised him for running, and after Jon finally decided to honor his bonds and fully commit to the Watch, he accepted his place as Mormont's squire.
It was then that Jon was torn from his home, his Watch, everything. He ended up in the strange new world called Aledon, and found that there was seemingly no way home.
