There's a smile on my face, knowing that together everything that's in our way, we're better than alright.
Name: Toothless.
Nicknames: Nightfurygetdown!
Age: 10.
Member Group: Creature.
Fandom: How To Train Your Dragon.
Walking between the raindrops, riding the aftershock, beside you.

Height: 5' or so when standing on all fours.
Weight: Around 800 lbs.
Hair color: Um... black? XD
Eye color: Green.
General Appearance: From afar, Toothless looks like an all black dragon, but in reality he's not. He's has darker markings on his body that are similar to that of a panther or a manta ray, and for a dragon he is not very big. Hardly taller than Hiccup when standing on all fours. He has two mobile ear plates on his head that can reflect his mood, two immobile ones in between them, and two behind his jaw. His eyes are green and cat-like, his teeth are retractable, and he has a large scar on his neck. Unlike other dragons seen on Berk or in the Book of Dragons, Toothless has a short neck, which probably helps him stay streamline, and a heavy chest which makes him capable of vertical take off.

Strengths:
- Toothless has two types of fire. A weak red/orange flame predominately used to warm his sleeping spot, and a powerful and explosive blue flame used for attacking.
- Toothless is renown for never missing his target.
- There are healing properties in Toothless’ saliva (which is why dragons lick their wounds?)
- Toothless can use echolocation.
- He is completely fireproof on the outside.
Weaknesses:
- Blue Oleander (or Dragon Flowers) is toxic to him. The only known cure is the venom of a Scauldron.
- Toothless is not fireproof on the inside, nor are his scales weapon proof.
- He is missing half of his tail and therefore can not fly on his own.
Fears:
- His missing tail causing him to be unable to rescue Hiccup.
- Losing any of his friends.
General Personality: The "unholy offspring of lightening and death itself" has quite a reputation among the Vikings, but it has more to do with how mysterious rather than how tough a Night Fury is. Toothless is actually a playful, docile, and very curious dragon. He likes to observe, learn, and mimic the behavior that he sees. That being said, Toothless is also pretty smart. Not like a super genius, but smart enough to understand Hiccup, and even talk to him using facial expressions and certain sounds.
Toothless is very patient and tolerable, for the most part. He is more likely to growl and snarl at something he doesn't like as a warning first before attacking, and even then he is more likely to walk away from the situation. However, because Toothless is also extremely loyal and protective, threaten someone he cares about or himself and his growls and snarls won't be a just a warning.
And let's be honest here, at his worst Toothless can be a spoiled brat. He's a picky eater, only enjoying fish, crabs, and honey comb, and for the most part does what he wants when he wants to. He will always listen to Hiccup, but if he personally disagrees with the decision he won't listen unless it's been said three or four times first, and will most certainly let Hiccup know he doesn't like it.
Toothless also has this horrible tendency to hold a grudge. And it's a grudge that will be held until death.

Family: Unknown.
History: Toothless lived on Dragon Island before meeting Hiccup. It was a desolate place, with stone structures standing like wicked and jagged teeth all around it, shrouded in a thick and mysterious fog. It used to be a nice place to nest for dragons, until the giant slumbering and fermenting in the bowls of the Island awoke. It took control of the dragons, forcing them to raid for food from villages like Berk and feed it lest they be eaten themselves.
It was on one of these routine raids that Toothless was shot down by a bolas, streaming towards the earth below like a comet, and crashing violently. He slid against the forest floor in his momentum, and getting his right tail-fin painfully torn off. The young viking boy who had shot him tracked him down, and Toothless was terrified of what he would do; because he was a viking! And vikings were malicious blood thirsty barbarians! That theory was turned upside down when, instead of expecting the end and resigning to his fate, he felt the ropes constricting him begin to loosen. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third had cut him free instead. Honestly, Toothless thought about killing him, pinning him immediately after the rope fell way, but the look of terror he saw reflected in the boys eyes stirred something in him.
This boy was different.
So, Toothless let the young boy go and turned to escape. Escape became imprisonment rather quickly when he fell in to a cove that was much too deep to get out of however, and the rocks much too smooth for him to climb. Hiccup found him again, and this time despite himself Toothless felt as curious about the young boy as the young boy was probably curious of him. Tentatively the two of them got closer, spending afternoons together until a friendship was formed. Hiccup even made Toothless a new tail and saddle so he could help him get back into the air again. Test driving it was bumpy, but it turned out to be a perfect fit, and that wasn't just the saddle. When Hiccup and Toothless flew, they flew as one; and did the same when battling the Red Death.
This took place barely even a day after Toothless was forced to bring Astrid and Hiccup into the heart of Dragon Island. Toothless heard that Hiccup was in distress and climbed out of the cove for the first time on his own to come to his aid. He beat back the Monstrous Nightmare, but ended up captured by Stoick, who then used Toothless to show the vikings how to locate the ever allusive nest. The Red Death finally left it's underground lair, destroying the Viking fleet. However, Hiccup reunited with Toothless and the two best friends took the monster head on. The two fought and flew hard, and emerged victorious... but not without Hiccup sustaining significant injury.

A soft groaning sound filled the area as Toothless began to push out of his unconsciousness, feeling the heavy crash landing still in his scales and his head. He didn't notice his surroundings at first, opening his eyes weakly and the fogginess still clouding his brain and taking a longer time than usual to lift.
When it did, however, the Night Fury leaped to all four feet. The last thing he remembered was battling the Red Death, Hiccup falling from his back, and him diving to try and catch him before he was burned alive. That heart racing terror was still running like a hot wire through him, his pupils constricted and his breathing erratic. Toothless' body was coiled like a spring prepared to unwind, his wings were unfolded a fraction as if prepared to lift his body in to the air, and green eyes looked around himself frantically.
He had wrapped around Hiccup and turned just in time to hit the ground with a violent crash, the world going dark in that moment. He didn't understand that in that same moment, he had been pulled from the world he knew and taken to a foreign one. What Toothless did understand was that Hiccup had been hurt, and was no longer with him, and neither was the burning carcass of the Red Death or the other vikings. He was looking at a foreign landscape, one that was not as barren and decrepit as Dragon Island had been.
Toothless didn't recognize the smells or the sights but he did at least recognize that he was no longer in danger, though he was still thoroughly anxious about not being able to say the same about his friends. Slowly his breathing slowed and his heart followed suite, and his pupils returned to normal size. Panicking wasn't going to help, and neither was standing here. (Yes, Toothless was confused about how he got here at well, but since he was no worse for wear, that was going to put on the back-burner until he found out where his friends were and if they were okay).
Toothless folded his wings and shook his head, the metal parts of his broken saddle tinkling as they knocked together, and then lifted his head to smell the air. Nothing smelled like the Berk he had gotten used to calling home, but he did find something close enough, so, it was in that direction that he started for. Perhaps it would lead him to some answers?
