The early morning mountains were cold, and steam began to rise off the rocks as the sun began to warm them. In a small valley where the sun had still been unable to reach however, a place that all life had seemed to abandoned in fear, lay a dark and mysterious shape. The mist that was swirling off the ground distorted this shape, and gave the whole darkened place an eerie and otherworldly feel.
Upon closer inspection, one would be able to make out the scales and spiked back of a black dragon, it's wings curled around it's self. It didn't move save for the soft rising and falling of it's chest. Who knows how long it had been there. Studying this creature, it would not take long to realize that the dragon was not like the other wild dragons that roamed the forests either. There were metal rods bent out of shape along it's tail, and clearly there was a saddle on his back, the straps broken but still mostly intact.
Suddenly a soft groaning sound shattered the silence. Green eyes opened half way before failing and falling shut again. Toothless struggled to open his eyes completely and push his way out of unconsciousness, still feeling the heavy crash landing in his scales and head. When those green eyes opened fully, there was a fogginess in them that was still clouding the Night Fury's senses, and it was taking a long time to lift. When it did, however, Toothless leaped to all four feet in a sudden and violent movement.
The last thing Toothless remembered was battling the Red Death, Hiccup falling from his back, and him diving to try and catch him before his friend was burned alive. That heart racing terror was still running like a hot wire through him, his pupils constricted and his breathing erratic. Toothless' body was coiled like a spring prepared to unwind, his wings were unfolded a fraction as if prepared to lift his body in to the air, and green eyes looked around himself frantically.
He had wrapped around Hiccup and turned just in time to hit the ground with a violent crash, the world going dark in that moment. He didn't understand that in that same moment, he had been pulled from the world he knew and taken to a foreign one. What Toothless did understand was that Hiccup had been hurt, and was no longer with him, and neither was the burning carcass of the Red Death or the other vikings. He was looking at foreign and strange rocky surroundings.
Where was he? What happened? How did he get here? And were all his friends--was Hiccup!?-- alright? As the Dragon tried desperately to understand, he was blind to the surroundings around him, and no idea that he was being watched.

Clark walked around not to far, as he was here for sometime now, but still wished to go back home, as always as he missed his family. He was more or less getting used to the place, but he still wanted to get back to where he came from, to where he belonged because he had to be there, as here he was all alone, which wasn't good, not for him anyway, whether he had friends or not. Clark shook his head from that thoughts, as he refused to lose faith and hope, just like before, he couldn't effort it, he refused to do so. It wasn't like him to do that.
Clark sighed, as he walked around. It might have been cold, but he was used to it, because of his fortress of solitude, as well as the fact that he wasn't even human. He grew up among humans, as well as adopted and raised by humans, but that was it. Clark was an alien from planet Krypton, but since the planet blow up when he was a child, he had no knowledge of it, so he couldn't really miss it. Growing up was only when he found out the truth, but it made no difference to him, as for him the people who raised him were his parents, no matter what. Also, Clark did met people from his planet before they left to create new krypton and such, but that was a different story. He could have left with them, but he had a lover, a soul mate named Lois Lane, and parents he loved, so he refused to lose it, and eventually he didn't even have to, which was fine by him.
Anyhow, he shook his head from this thoughts as he looked around, and stopped as he saw something interesting not to far away. Clark watched closely and sighed, as he adjusted the bag he had on his shoulders. He had food with him and stuff like that, in case he would be hungry, as he planned to camp them for a bit, before he went back. Since he had time off, so he wanted to use it. Clark hoped that when he got back, either he would end up back home instead, or he would find Lois and his baby there, and be with her, if his parents were here too, the better, also he didn't wish neither of them to be stuck god knows where, but he wanted to have them in his life either way, no matter what.
With them life was better, then without them, there was no doubt about that, not to him at least. Clark sighed, as he shook his head from those thoughts, as he watched the one he saw, as he couldn't believe his eyes. A dragon? A dragon in middle o no where? In the mountains? That was weird. Then again, who he is to say something, especially since he was camping in middle of no where, where normal person won't, especially when it was freezing, but still it was interesting to him to know what a dragon was doing there. Clark didn't expect nor planned to see anyone or anything here, let along a dragon. He sighed and walked over, slowly, not to startle the dragon. Clark had no doubt that it was an actual dragon not a person or anything like that, especially when he saw what he was doing, he set down not to far away, as he looked around then back at the dragon, with curiosity.
He wasn't going to deny that he thought the dragon was pretty and interesting, but said nothing. Instead, Clark just watched him as he got out some food and threw half of it over, towards the dragon, gently without hurting him. Also he wasn't sure if it was he or she, but believed that it was a he so, in some reason. Clark had no intention of hurting him, or anyone else, which he hoped that he knew that, since he wasn't even but good. He never hurt anyone, other than criminals, and even then he only hurt their ego's, and such, but only when he had no choice, but even then he didn't kill them, and if they died, it's because they killed themselves and not other way around, but that was a different story all together. Clark sighed, as he ate his food, while once in a while he looked over at the dragon. As he wondered how would he react to that, and what would he do next.

The sound of something flopping against the ground made Toothless whirl around to face it, lip curled back and a growl and his eyes narrowed. He wasn't expecting it to be food though. The glare started to melt away though, and those green eyes lifted away from the food on the ground and up towards the stranger who had thrown it. His heart was still racing, and his body still trembled with the fear, but slowly his jumbled thoughts began to fade as he was forced to try and deal with what was happening right now.
He lifted his head slightly to sniff the air and the stranger. He didn't smell... normal. It was a small that he could not place, for it was a smell that was so familiar and yet so foreign that Toothless didn't know what to do with it. He narrowed his eyes a bit in distrust. What was he doing out here anyway?
The wind gently lifted the smell of the food sitting on the rocks just a couple of feet in front of him, and suddenly the dragon realized how hungry he actually was. Toothless' gaze went to the food once, before returning to the stranger. The other was just sitting and eating, which was torturous for the dragon to watch by the way, and for the most part seemed harmless. Well, this was untrue, Toothless knew from experience that humans were always a threat to dragons. Dragons may be fierce and powerful creatures, but they lacked thumbs and most lacked the brainpower, and humans could do much more fierce and powerful things armed with such weapons.
However, for right now, the other was keeping his distance and mostly ignoring him, which translated to mostly-harmless.
Toothless grumbled a little and directed his attention to the food again. As he approached, his posture was cautious, and the dragon was careful to always keep his back facing away from the human so he wouldn't be vulnerable. The broken pieces of his saddle and the bent metal rod on his tail dragged gently against the rocks as he moved, a soft dragging and tinkling of metal filling the clearing. When Toothless reached the pile of food he looked up at the human again, just to make sure he hadn't moved from his spot, before lowering his head and sniffing at what had been offered to him.

Clark heard everything that happened around him, including the noises and such, that the dragon did but ignored it, as he didn't look at him, only once in a while. He thought the dragon was cute, but said or did nothing about it, for now at least. Clark wondered if the dragon would eat the food he offered him or not. He did hope that he would, as it wasn't poisoned or anything, as for one he won;t do it, and two it was the same food he ate.
"Don't worry, I don't have any intention of killing you, only feeding you" Clark said over sudden, without moving. "MMMM, It is really good food. Try it, you will love it. It is exactly the same as what I gave you" he added as he waited for the dragon's reaction. "I am not an enemy, nor do I want to be your enemy" Clark pointed out. "If you want I got more, but I need food for myself too, also I do not mind sharing my food with you"
He said, and then he continued eating. Here and there he drank some water that he got with him. Clark then put some of the water in to another plate and pushed it gently towards the trouble. "For you my friend, just don't eat the plate, just drink the water. It isn't food only drink, for you to drink." he said to him, not sure if he got him or not.
Clark looked around then back at him. After that he continued eating, as well a drinking. Clark wondered what would be the dragon's reaction, he had no doubt that it might startle and surprise the dragon, or just startle or just surprise him. Also he wasn't trying to startle him, so if he was startled, then he was truly sorry about it. Clark had no intention of attacking him, and hoped that the dragon won't attack him, also he was ready for anything, but he still hoped that it won't come to that.
Clark liked the dragon, and didn't want to be enemies with him. Also he knew that dragons didn't always knew what people said, nor meant. Clark also knew that dragon couldn't understand people, also he hoped that this one could, also he wasn't human but an alien, also that was besides the point all together. Clark still saw earth as his home, no matter what. First because he was raised on earth and second because he was used to it, as well as protected it.
Now there were no difference. Also, Clark never met dragons, not up close and person, if at all, so it was rather new to him, as well as very interesting. However, it didn't change anything, as he won't try to catch nor hurt the dragon, because he didn't do anything, if he had that would have been different story all together. Yet, since he didn't then he saw him as not an enemy but a friend, like with humans, at least he hoped that they could be friends anyway.

The dragon started to nose around the food, pushing some of the sandwich apart with his nose. Some of the things the stranger had offered him were things that Toothless did not recognize, and therefore he wasn't sure if he would like. He did, however, recognize the bread, and he pulled that out of the pile. Green eyes traveled back up to the other when the stranger spoke, the bread still hanging out of his mouth, ears slowly lifting off his head as cautious and hostile gave way to curiosity. After a moment of silent watching, Toothless jerked his head up, tossing the bread so it would land horizontally, and then swallowed it whole. This Night Fury certainly wasn't about to pass up food when it was being so generously offered to him!
He rummaged threw some more of it, picking out the bread and the cheese. At first he would keep looking up at the stranger every couple of seconds, still wary despite how much he had relaxed. Eventually Toothless grew confident that the other was not going to move, and he stopped looking back up almost entirely. Instead he focused on the sandwich in front of him, purring and licking some of the other layers with his big forked tongue to test the taste. The lettuce Toothless didn't care for, the tomatoes received a head shake in disapproval, and the meat had the dragon jerking away with a hiss and a look of disgust. The dragon used his nose to shove it aside, exploring further.
Suddenly a plate scraped across the ground, and Toothless looked up from the remains of the scattered lunch to watch it. It came to a stop a few paces away from where he was, water sloshing a little over the edge. Toothless hesitated, because that meant getting closer to the stranger. He took a tentative step that grew more confident when the stranger still showed no signs of moving from where he was. Despite how cautious he was with the other, Toothless still gave the stranger a bit of a dry look when he was asked not to eat the plate. Toothless furrowed his brows a bit in some exasperation. Yes, he knew it was water, thank you. However, he would forgive the other for now; it was obvious the stranger hadn't yet realized that Toothless could understand him perfectly.
Toothless sighed through his nose, crouching down in front of the bowl like an over-grown cat with wings, lapping up the water. For a long while there was silence, broken only by the sound of Toothless drinking water. He drank as much as he could from the plate that was offered to him, lifting his head when he was finished and licking some of the stray water droplets off his lips. Toothless was no longer wary now. He was instead curious about the stranger. After all, it wasn't very often that he met humans who were not at least intimidated by his presence, and it was even rarer for him to be fed by anyone but Hiccup.
Speaking of Hiccup... the dragon stood up to his full height and started to survey the land around him as much as he could without turning his back to the stranger. The dragon still had no idea what was going, but at least now he realized that the panic was just the after shock of the battle with the Red Death. His thoughts were less crammed together, and a lot clearer. However, they still couldn't form any answers. The dragon turned back to the stranger, suddenly wishing he could just ask the other where he was. Sometimes it was so infuriating being a dragon!
Toothless had to settle with a questioning grumble, gesturing his nose towards the mountains around him and then fixing the stranger with an expectant stare.

Clark watched the dragon, as he shook his head to that, and laughed a bit. He watched as he spoke, and followed with his gaze what he did, as he picked up an eyebrow and laughed as he shook his head to that. Clark was glad that the dragon accepted what he offered him, as he smiled at that. That what he hoped, as he truly didn't mind sharing his food. Clark was jut glad that the dragon enjoyed himself, and he could tell that he did because of the way he ate the bread, as well as the way he sniffed the food, and what not.
He watched him, as he picked up an eyebrow at the way he acted with the food, as he shook his head to that. Surely not what Clark thought would happen. It surely wasn't what he ever saw in his life, and he never thought that he would see that, and yet it was exactly what he saw, which he wasn't sure what to think about it. It was rather an interesting reaction, or so he thought anyway. Clark laughed at that, as it was cute and funny, or so he thought anyway.
When he did the next, he watched the dragon, as he spoke to him. Clark watched his reaction, not sure if he understood him or not, but watched him with curiosity anyway. He wondered if the dragon reacted to what he said, or just reacting in general to something else completely. Also he did think that he was interesting. Clark smiled as he watched him drink, without eating the plate, that was good thing. He had no idea about the dragon, so he couldn't know if he understood him or not. Yet, Clark had a feeling that he understood him, because he didn't try to eat the plate, or it seemed that he did, because of that.
He watched him closely, as he smiled seeing him drink. Clark could hear the sound of drinking, which made him happy, just as seeing him drink made him happy too. He was glad that he enjoyed the water, and that it helped him, as that was what he wanted after all. There was no doubt about it. Clark planned to give him more water, if he wanted more. He had no problem with it, it was up to the dragon so, if he wanted more or not. It was fine either way, or so Clark thought and believed, for him it was anyway.
He watched the dragon. as he tried to figure out what was he doing, and if he was alright or not. Until Clark realized something. The dragon might be looking for something or someone. He watched him, as he felt terrible for him, if that was the case. Clark hoped that he would find the one he looked for, unlike him, he doubted he would find the ones he missed and needed, because so far they weren't there, and he had no idea if they ever would be there or not.
Clark watched him, as he tried to understand Him. He sighed, until he finally got him. "Oh, you wanna know where we are, don't you?" Clark said to him and sighed. "It's the mountains, and the nearest place, but not too near is a place called Aldeon. Right now we are beyond Aldeon so" Clark said and sighed, as he wondered if the dragon understood him or not. "Give me a sign if you understand me"

Aldeon. Toothless lowered his head, green eyes thoughtfully scanning his feet underneath him. Aldeon was not Berk, nor was it any of the other islands that surrounded it. And now Toothless was desperately trying to figure out how the heck he had ended up in such a place! The dragon's ears lowered on his head and his brows began to furrow in frustration. Toothless almost could have paced with his rambling mind, but he was brought back out of his thoughts when the stranger asked him to show that he understood. Toothless looked back up at the stranger and suddenly he felt a little exhausted, the roaring fire of all his jumbled thoughts and emotions going out.
He whined a little and nodded his head once, tail dragging along the ground behind him lightly.
None of the confusion of how he got here, or the frustration of not understanding, or the shock of not being able to identify the word 'Aldeon' was really all that important. Toothless took all of that and stuffed on the shelf, focusing now on the sadness and worry of his friends. Somehow Toothless had wound up in a foreign land alone, so did that mean he was here alone? The dragon began to droop physically, eyes dropping to the ground again. And the absolute most terrifying and most depressing thought was what had happened to Hiccup. Had he not been able to catch his friend in time? Was his friend- Toothless almost didn't want to think it- dead?
No! Toothless shook his head with a snort and then brought that gaze back up to Clark. Grumbling, the dragon stepped to the right with one of his back feet so he could have face the other and half face the mountain ranges behind him. He gestured twice with his head this time, and then fixed Clark with a glare. He was no asking for an answer this time, but demanding it. He wanted to know more about this place. Any answers at all that the other could give.

Clark watched him closely and sighed, as he felt bad for the dragon. He had a feeling that the Dragon understood him, as well as was upset for being far from home, but he wasn't sure, as he sighed anyway. When Clark said the next, he watched none stop, as he wondered if the dragon understood or not, as he looked down, then back at him, as he sighed, while he waited for a sign of some kind. He hoped that he did understood him, and that even if the dragon couldn't reply like human, he at least understood things like humans.
Clark watched him, and what he did, as well as listened and it broke his heart, just to hear the dragon whine, as he sighed, feeling terrible. He wished that he could help the dragon, but he had no idea how to do that, but wanted to try and help him anyway, no matter what. Clark hoped that if he managed to help the dragon then at least the dragon would be happy, not upset which could be good, but he had no idea how to make sure of that, which upset him.
He watched him, as he could tell that the dragon was sad, hurt, scared as well as worried, or at least he thought that it was what he noticed about him, as he sighed to it. Clark didn't say anything but he understood his feelings, as he missed his own family, which he had no doubt that the dragon either missed his family , as well as friends like him, or just family or just friends, but either he could easily relate to him. He had a sad look on his face, as he too felt sad and what not, because the people he loved and cared for, weren't there with him, unfortunately. Clark hated that, as much as no doubt the dragon did, if not more. He never wished that feeling on anyone, and knowing that the dragon felt tat way too, made him even more said if that was even possible.
Clark watched him, as he sighed to that, as he tried to figure out what he asked of him, it took a bit but he understood, eventually. He looked down, then back at him and sighed. As Clark looked around, then back at him, and sighed once more before he answered him. "I don't know much about this place, as I am not here long myself, but I do know that a lots of people are pulled here by an invisible force, one you are here you are stuck, also I still don't buy it, and still try to find away back. There is a lake not too far but far, it's not too close nor to far from the town, Alden! It's more city and there are rulers here, loyalty. It's full of magic, by what it seems, also no one knows how any of us, is getting pulled here but we are" he said to him, as he sighed and looked down, then back at him. "That is all I know, I am not originally from around here"

Toothless could understand a lot of things, but there were concepts that he didn't quite get. Like magic... he had no idea what that was. If it had something to do with the invisible force that brought him here than Toothless decided he didn't like it. The dragon felt his heart start to grow a little cold when the other started to say that he might be stuck here, but at least the stranger did not believe it. Toothless was glad, because he didn't want to believe that at all. He needed to find a way out of here and back to his friends.
It did not escape the Night Fury that the stranger had been saddened. Toothless could sense it in the air in a kind of subconscious way while he had been dealing with his own turmoil. For the first time the Night Fury realized that this stranger was telling him they had all been yanked from their homes, and that meant he was probably having the same thoughts, worries, and fears. Which of course did not bode well for him either... who knew how long this stranger had been here for. Long enough to search for whomever he was missing and being unable to find them? That thought sent a pang of pain right through the dragon's heart.
And he felt bad for the other. Toothless dropped the glare now, ears melting to the back of his head. He whined, a gentle and kind of comforting sound, as he sat down on the rocks comfortably before the stranger. He wished that he could ask the other questions, like who he was missing, what they looked like, whether he had been able to find them or not, what his name was; but he could only do the best with what he had. So far he had been doing well getting his point across, but it's not like he could charade some of the other questions. He could, however, at least offer the stranger a kind gaze and a purr.
Honestly though, if the stranger hadn't have fed him out of the kindness of his heart, then Toothless probably would have already taken off for the lake he mentioned.

Clark watched him closely and sighed, as he felt truly bad for him, no matter what. He had no idea how much the dragon knew, nor what he hadn't heard of yet, but he knew by now that the dragon understood him. Clark had no doubt that when he said that by what he understood they were stuck there, that he was hurt by it, as he understood how it felt, as he felt it too, but he also said he didn't believe it, as he truly didn't, so if the guy was relieved by that, it won't surprise him at all, as well. He wished that he could tell him better new, and himself in the process, but no such luck unfortunately. Clark did hope that the dragon knew that, but believed that he did.
Clark tried to hide that he was sad by it all, but somehow he had the feeling that the dragon knew that. He wasn't good at hiding that and e knew it rather well. He had no doubt that the dragon was sad too, which he thought he noticed, just by the way the dragon looked around and what not, as he sighed, feeling terrible for the dragon and himself. When Clark told the dragon that they all been yanked from their homes, it was just him being honest with him. He looked around, then back at him and sighed, he hated telling him that, but he didn't wish to lie to him so. Clark hoped to help him, either find his friends if they were there, or help him get, or both, whichever worked best, and which was easier.
He watched him and sighed once more. He heard the noise the dragon made which were both comforting. Clark was glad that the dragon cared for him, as he cared for the dragon, at least he thought that it was the case anyway. Clark watched the dragon, as he looked down then back at him, as he gave the dragon some more food just in case. "I am Clark Kent, by the way. And you are?" he said, as he then wondered how would the dragon be able to reply, as he looked to the side, then back at him. "If you can draw, then drew me a picture of the send, that represents you" Clark said, as he hoped that it would help, but he wasn't too sure. He then showed the dragon a picture, one with him and his wife, and another picture of them with a baby. "This woman is my wife, Lois Lane Kent, and the little baby boy, is our adopted child" Clark said, as he hoped that the dragon understood him, also he had no time that he did. After that, he hid the photos once more.
He looked down again, as he looked down for a bit, but then he looked back at the dragon, as he waited for him to react, as he wondered what would it be. "You are very beautiful, and interesting dragon, did you know that" Clark said, also only as a friend of course being that the other was a dragon and he was an alien that looked like human, among other things. Yet he did hope that they would be friends, but he wasn't about the force the dragon so, just as he won't force anyone else. Clark hoped to pet the dragon, but he didn't do nothing about it, instead he waited for the dragon to show a sign or two that says that it was alright to pet him, otherwise he just won't do that.

Ugh of course it would be that! Toothless blinked and then looked around himself as if he could find something that would provide him with a way to answer. Not that there would actually be anything around that could help him mime the word 'toothless'. And unfortunately for him, Toothless did not know how to write. Clark's idea was a good one, except Toothless had positively no idea how he was supposed to draw... well, toothless! So, Clark got a quiet grumble that was meant as a 'nice to meet you' that quickly became a lost expression.
And then he realized he didn't need a stick to draw it. The dragon had a very obvious ah-ha! moment, getting to his feet again and taking a couple of steps closer towards the stranger. He grumbled to get Clark's attention, before opening his mouth nice and wide. Inside were two rows of serrated teeth, pearly white, nestled on pink gums. He waited a moment before retracting them, teeth disappearing into his gum with a sound that was similar to a sword being sheathed. This was followed by another purr and kind of excited expression as Toothless shut his mouth again. Okay, so it wasn't the clearest way of getting his point across, but he at least had to try it right?
Now Clark was producing things that Toothless had never seen before, tiny papers with pictures on them that were so colorful and detailed that they looked almost real. He had seen his friend draw some pretty good pictures, but nothing like the one's in Clark's hand. The Night Fury took a few more hesitant steps closer, narrowing his eyes to get a better look. He did his best to try and commit that image to memory as well, but for the sake the man who had found him rather than his own. Toothless had no intention of leaving now, but he would eventually go in search of Hiccup, and he would keep an eye out for the woman in the picture as he went.
Oh, well. Now he was being complimented. Toothless was not as vain as some of the other species (Deadly Nadders to be exact), but all dragons had a certain extent of vanity to them. Toothless may be an exception to a lot of the rules concerning some of the other species on Berk (no blind spot, no shot limit, etc), but this was not something he was exempt from. Even as he narrowed his eyes a bit suspiciously, he stood a little taller and puffed out his chest like a rooster.
Yes! He was beautiful and he was interesting wasn't he? Probably the most interesting out of any dragon that Clark had ever seen. Or, probably the only dragon that Clark had ever seen. Meh, same thing.[/size]
