Toothless glanced around his shoulder to where he heard things clanking, ears folded back a little since it was tiny bit irritating to his sensitive ears. However, his curiosity kept him still, and those ears flew foreword again when she dumped out the contents beside them. He purred in wonder, shoulders twitching as if to to move, body tensing. The shiny pieces reflected off the light in brilliant flashes of silver, reflecting in his emerald eyes as he gazed at her pile of treasures longingly. What kept him still however was just that, these were Heather's treasures, and it would be rude to start nosing through them.
"That's a lot of shiny's..." he breathed in awe. He made a grumbling sound in his throat, swallowed, fighting off his own instinct to collect.
She began to nose through them, and he titled his head to the side curiously as he watched, until she produced a lovely shining necklace. This time he did shift, pushing up on his paws until he was sitting up, body trembling yet forced to stay still. The silver reflected like water, and the ruby treasure in the was so much like her scales. So shiny, and so vibrant under the suns rays, that the red gem looked like it had a fire burning inside of it. Toothless tilted an ear back so he could continue to listen to her story as he stared at the necklace she was showing him, as if transfixed.
Something began to melt a little inside of him when he realized finally what this special shiny thing was. Finally the Night Fury pulled his green gaze away to look back up at her again, a subtle smile tugging at his lips and a gentleness in his eyes. "Toothless thinks Heather's treasures are pretty but..." he paused, brows furrowing as he struggled to come up with his thoughts. "... they are cold." He finally decided to go with. He wasn't sure what he was actually trying to say, or if Heather would get it, but he knew what he felt.
Suddenly none of the treasures seemed to shine as brightly, suddenly they looked like just an odd pile of nick-knacks; replaceable at best. The necklace that Heather was showing him, that was special, it was alive, it was not replaceable. Like his saddle and his special man-made tail, her necklace was a gift from her special someone and that was always going to make it warmer and shine so much brighter than the rest, like the north star in the sky that he could point out on clear nights. "I know what you mean, when you see some other objects, they aren't as important as the ones you get from your special friends and family. I'm going to make you something special Toothless that way you will have a part of me with you." SO many things she could make with metal and the gems she had, she was so excited she couldn't make up her mind weather to mix and match or ....yes maybe she could make a fish saddle piece....ah she would think of the perfect gift sooner or later. She snuggled closer to Toothless, a calm heart beat, the sound of the forest, it was all so relaxing if she hadn't had Toothless around she would have been to scared to enjoy all of it.
"Toothless? Do you have any people you consider family back where you come from? Like friends, or is it just you and this...Hiccup?"

”Heather doesn't have to do that for Toothless!” The dragon muttered, shocked and a little bit flustered again. However, he knew that she would anyway. Dragons were stubborn like that... ”Toothless will treasure it though.” He added, gazing up at Heather warmly.
”Oh! Toothless has plenty of friends! Meatlug, Stormfly, Hookfang, BarfBelch, Thornado,” Toothless listed as if he was counting on his fingers, Their dragon friends! Toothless also has human friends too; Gobber, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut, and Ruffnut.” Some of that cheer seemed to be lost. ”And Toothless have enemies too.” Like Alvin and the Whispering Death that had attacked Berk.
However, he was sure Heather didn't want to hear about those. ”Toothless consider Stoick family, because Stoick is Hiccup's dad.” Toothless respected that man too, for he was man who deserved it and demanded for it as soon as his presence was in the room. It was not all that bright, but he was a grade A viking and a very good chief, who did a good job of balancing the good of the tribe and the love of his son; even when those decisions were hard.
And now he took on a thoughtful face. ”And Astrid and Hiccup have strange mating rituals. Toothless is starting to think Astird will be family too though some day.” And the Night Fury was quite fond of her. She pushed his rider, and gave him good advice, but she was also the first one to accept Hiccup's new and slightly crazy ideas, and the first to follow Hiccup into battle.
There was a moment silent thought before the Night Fury settled his head against his paws, smiling up at Heather as she snuggled closer, enjoying the heat and the soft thump of her steady heartbeat that he could now feel against his scales. It was comfortable here, it was safe. Toothless began to make soft little chirping sound similar to that of a hatch ling. ”Does Heather have other friends or family?”

Heather snickered at Toothless, the thought running through her head was probably not what he meant but still she got what he meant, and then came the question about her friends, she supposed that she had forgotten to tell about her friends and about demons. Now that may be a bit hard considered Toothless may not have met many where he came from, but she decided to try her best to explain.
" I do in fact some of my best friends I made after being introduced to Kurama. The is Yusuke, he is definitely a odd case, he is cocky and always rushing into fights, but he always protects his friends, now that i think about i hardly ever see him wear anything but his trade mark green school outfit. He is a human who is a bit of a flirt....always looking for a good fight, but he has good qualities that he tried to hide a bit. Then there is Kuwabara...he...doesn't think before he speaks, he is goofy and sort of Yusuke's punching bag, they are always beating each other up...kind of a guy thing. Then there is Hiei...now he may act like a bad ass but deep down i think he is just a softy...boy am i glad he isn't here right now or i would have been smacked for that comment hahaha. He is the typical bad boy attitude, you know pretends not to care but really cool, he is mysterious, extremely skilled in combat and not at all like Kuwabara or Yusuke. Hiei is a fire demon."
Her smile widened, " Then there is Kurama, he has long beautiful red hair, he is more gentler then the other three, he is a tactician or the kind to think before acting. He isn't one to force answers unless they were evil, he is a fox demon with a sad past but besides that he is always protecting his human mother and his friends, he can manipulate plants and even revert to his old self. This is where she knew it was going to get complicated.

”What strange names,” Toothless commented a little idly. Not that he should talk of course. Vikings were known for giving their children horrible names in hopes of scaring off trolls.
”Heather's friends Toothless thinks sound... tolerable.” the Night Fury confirmed, trying to sound polite, though probably coming off as a bit rude; not that he meant it that way
There would definitely be some clashing considering a dragon didn't do to well with arrogance and sudden fights. However, Toothless respected loyalty, and he regarded his friendships as the most important relationships he had. And he could find kinship in that. Kuwabara sounded like he would get on the dragon's nerves, but he would tolerate him anyway (probably for the sake of Heather though). As for the guy thing. ”Oh! Just like Stoick and Gobber!” Yes, he knew exactly what the guy thing was. Not that he entirely understood the point of it, but he at least knew what she meant.
However, then the Night Fury began to get confused. ”Fire demon?” He knew what demons were. Vikings were a superstitions lot after all. What confused the Night Fury was the fact such a thing could actually exist. He didn't believe in them, but if she said they were in her world then...
Kurama sounded much more like the kind of person Toothless would like as a friend. Kind of sounded like Hiccup. And Toothless would have told her that too, would have said that he would love to meet him if he was here. However, he was still kind of stuck on the whole fire demon thing. ”Fox demon!” Toothless furrowed his brows and lifted his head now, searching his feet and the grass below him. ”Just how many demons are there!?” And weren't demons bad things? Heather laughed at Toothless's furrowed brow and knew instantly he was confused about demons, to be honest she expected it." Allow me to clarify the term demons for you, being a demon in my world can mean two things one, you were born like i was, you remember how i had physical features of the species i am. Well that is a demon, they too have been mistaken by humans for many, MANY, years. They believe all demons are evil, and yet you have met me and proves that demons are just, no more accurately, exactly alike in the terms that both dragon and demons have been misunderstood out of fear and old tales. Kurama being a fox demon , he also would have fox features, such as ears and tail. Just because your born a demon doesn't mean you were made to be cruel, in fact my home was so divided by that, that they split the boundaries in order to keep peace blocking demons in a place of their own.
She smiled gently knowing she may have lost the young dragon,"But before i left my world was probably doing the same thing yours has now...trying to co exist with dragons and humans, but in this case demons and humans." Kurama was always better at explaining it but she was proud of herself none the less, she did her best and that was all that mattered to her.

Toothless didn't dare interrupt her tale, but his expression wasn't one of complete clarity when she finished either. ”Uh...” Demons with animal parts and not animal parts and taking human forms... that was all a bit too much. What Toothless did understand however, was how the trouble between humans and demons, for it was exactly like how it had been on Berk with Vikings and Dragons. A part of the Night Fury began to droop, and he lowered his head back down to his paws with a heavy sigh through his nose. ”Humans have bad habit of doing that,” he agreed.
However, not all humans were the same! His Hiccup was a perfect example of that. ”Toothless hopes that the peace is successful!” Peace was a much better alternative to war anyway. The memories, thoughts, and sudden flashes of heat and smells hit him then, making the Night Fury shudder a little. ”Toothless would never wish war on anyone. Not even Alvin, Toothless' enemy.” Never unless Alvin did not see reason, and never unless he had no choice.

Heather felt Toothless's body shiver, her head lowered and nuzzled against his in a comforting way, the way a mother would comfort her child."I do too, but Kurama had even gone far enough to protect those even humans, in fact i know many friends who have befriended demons, so in a way we do have peace. It will take time for it to be official, but I'm sure that it will happen, in fact this Hiccup is proof of it, and so are you. By breaking the endless war, you both have made the first step to peace and coexistence. " She loved the thought of no war, no hate, just people accepting her into their peaceful lives. But this did make her wonder, what kind of existence did this world hold, was it similar...or far more complex...?

Toothless saw her lowering her head and raised his own to meet it, purring and chirping gently. He was glad to hear that there was a least a seed of hope in her world then, because really that was all it took. Just like Hiccup and Toothless had made that special bond and used it to spread peace, and it sounded like Kurama was going to be that beacon that Heather's world needed to bring that hope to her. “Then it could happen for Heather too!” The dragon said enthusiastically.
She seemed to get thoughtful then and Toothless let her since his own thoughts were now beginning to wonder.
Silence settled now as Toothless simply lay down beside Heather and enjoyed her presence and her warmth. However, if there was one thing that Heather was right about, was that Toothless was a young dragon, and eventually he began to feel restless, his wings tingling and itching to flap. Suddenly he stood, shaking his head, walking just a few paces away so he could start flapping his wings hard and fast against the ground, getting his blood pumping. There was a tiny spark of life within him too as his body longed to take to the sky, but it did not catch fire. Instead it snuffed out quietly as he folded his wings and shook his body from head to tail.
“Toothless' wishes Toothless could play dragon games with Heather!” He said with a little bit of sadness in his voice. Unfortunately the only dragon games that he knew of only took place in the sky and that just wasn't an option right now. He turned back to her and grumbled playfully. “Toothless does know of one game on the ground though!”

When Toothless began to fidget she watch as the young dragon back to shake and flap trying to wake up his sleeping muscles; and keep the blood circulating in his body, she was wondering how she could help Toothless out when he turned and spoke of dragon games, she didn't know many games, but then toothless spoke of one he knew since he was unable to fly without help. She rose to her feet ears perked as she listened, she was curious about what game he had in mind."I'll gladly play with Toothless whenever he wants, you just might need to teach me these games though, and i think i might now one but i am curious, what games do you play back on Berk? Was it?"
Her tail unfolded as she began to move her feet, spreading her wings out stretching out as far as the trees around them would allow it, which wasn't that much but enough to get the blood circulation.

“Maybe Hiccup will let Toothless and Heather play some dragon games!” Toothless thought rather excitedly. Which quickly became shock when Heather asked to know about them. Didn't she ever play with other other dragons? Surely she had other dragon friends if she told him about having a dragon family?
“Well... Toothless loves to race!” Especially against fast opponents. He was one of the fastest dragons Berk, if not the fastest, and he loved the idea of a challenge. He also loved the feeling of the wind in his face and the whistling in his ears, and the adrenaline that pumped through him with every heart beat. He loved the special world of speed where there was nothing but action and reaction, a tunnel before him that could lead him into tomorrow.
With a blink Toothless realized he had started to day dream, green eyes staring up at the sky longingly, watching a few birds lift themselves off a branch and flutter into the blue above him. He turned back to Heather quickly, looking slightly embarrassed, the half of his tail he could control flapping in reflex.
“There's also this game of where Toothless and other dragons dive and see who get's frightened first.” A mockery and probably a way for young dragons to practice the mating dive really, where dragons would lock talons and dive in a graceful and beautiful free fall. “And every dragon loves keep away!” Chasing each other rambunctiously through the air for the same piece of shiny foil was always a lot of fun!
Now Toothless started to get excited, yipping, tail wagging behind him in the dirt. His front half dropped to the ground while his haunches waggled, looking up at Heather with eyes that were both pleading and challenging. “Toothless and Heather can play keep away on the ground! Or! Toothless and Heather can play chase!” Both were equally as enticing!
Some of his excitement ebbed with the next game. “Toothless and Heather can also play battle! Though... Toothless thinks Heather would be a natural at that.” He complimented, but he was actually thinking about what she said before, losing control of herself while in battle. Toothless didn't want to trigger that by accident, and would feel terribly guilty if it did. Which was why Toothless tried to play it off as something else. It was too embarrassing to admit he was worried for some reason. “Besides, Toothless too small to be challenge for Heather.”

She blinked a moment, she had realized some of these games were...dangerous, and yet Toothless found it fun. But then he looked up and she could tell how much he enjoyed doing things with his friends, then he continued to name more games that she knew how to do, then toothless mentioned a sparing match, she thought it could be fun...but if she was going to play with him, she would have to do it in her demi form, she wasn't about to put not only Toothless in danger but who knows what else lived her. She snapped out of her though and looked at toothless, his face was priceless, she could see the embarrassment but she thought it was still very cute.
"Well we can race, play keep away, or even spar, but I will be doing it in the form you saw me earlier, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. I would spar with Kurama as well as the others all the time so I wouldn't mind sparing. What is your favorite game Toothless? " Her eyes glimmered with joy, she never really played any games with dragons before she met Toothless.

The idea of pay made him even more excited, and he rushed towards her, wing half uncurled from his body, and cackling happily. “Toothless loves every game!” He announced loudly, startling a few of the birds from the trees with his sharp and rather loud and sudden growl. Thought, he began to look a little smug now. “Does Heather think it fair if Heather is half human? Toothless will surely beat her then! Especially in a game of keep away!” Which of course his all time favorite game. Though, that could be because Hiccup was generally the one who got stuck playing that game, and it was the boy's reactions that spurred Toothless on. It was funny to watch him whine and pin wheel his arms clumsily as he fell at every sudden twist and turn the Night Fury made. Foolishly, it made him think all humans were like that. Maybe not as clumsy, but definitely not as fast as he was or as agile. Even Heather being half dragon didn't change his opinion, simply because being half dragon might give her an edge, but the end result would still be the same.

A coy grin spread across her lips,"You sure... you may find to regret that statement soon."Now she was determined to show the young dragon what a half demon could do, her dragon body went up a flames soon revealing her laying on her back, and climbing to her feet. She was even enjoying the thought of playing as she was, and the fact Toothless only saw what she wanted him to see, what Toothless didn't know was she played this game all the time with Kurama, although his demon side would cheat a bit, she enjoyed the game...until...she found herself all tangled up in plants. Youko could be so sneaky and he and Kurama both pulled those kind of tricks on her all the time.
Feeling a bit cocky she looked at Toothless,"I'll even make you a deal...I won't use my wings in this game. Well start in...three two...."She bolted at Toothless at normal pace, she didn't want him to see all the tricks she learned, besides, a part of her began to understand why Kurama would continue to do them, it was fun...even when she would huff and look irritated. Now the game was just getting started.

Toothless puffed out his chest in a kind of arrogant way, suddenly looking more like a giant chicken than a dragon. He cackled at her in that playful way he would with Hiccup, tail lashing against the ground and his eyes narrowing in challenge. Such an obvious 'bring it!' that Toothless didn't even have to say it.
"Sounds fair," Toothless replied casually. "Though, Heather might regret that!"
She started counting down and Toothless' heart began to race, thrilled at the idea of the game, his pupils becoming wider in excitement. He held his breath, everything inside of him tightening, waiting for the single word that would be like a-- WHOA! Heather didn't finish, and Toothless lost valuable time with looking shocked to see her coming at him before he remembered he was supposed to be doing something.
Yipping, he scrambled and leaped away from her. And just in time too! A second later and she surely would have been upon him. Which would have been no fun! A game couldn't last for only a couple of seconds after all, especially between dragons like them!
