Laughing as she ran, she was enjoying the play time, in fact in her world they where ALWAYS being dragged off to either fight some craze person bent on world domination, some demon or human threatening each others realm...she was over come by the fun , darting between the trees, and bushes, the snapping of twigs as her claws pressed into the earth beneath her. She could hear Toothless's sheer enjoyment in this simple game, its true a normal human would have lots of trouble to match a dragon's speed, but she decided to continue let Toothless Think she was as fast as a human. But a game wouldn't be fun if she just used her speed burst now, the game just started. Her hair streaming in the wind, it felt good, but then Toothless began to weave, thank god she wasn't in dragon form or that would be really difficult.

Toothless may be built for the sky, but after spending so much time on the ground had had been getting better at living there. He swerved through the trees with all the grace of a leopard, but his wings and his tail smashed through the underbrush with all the gentleness of a rabid elephant. He quickly realized that Heather, even in half-human form, was a good competitor, and he had to switch his gears and start moving faster. The world began to blend together into colors. However, this still wasn't his top speed.
Toothless glanced behind him once with a smirk in his expression before turning back around. And now his tongue hung out the side of his mouth, enjoying the exhilaration and the speed as he continued through the woods, running at a speed that he thought was just out of reach for her.
He never ventured too far from the clearing however, sometimes jerking to the left so he could run back along the woods towards it, and other times running at an angle that was a subtle circle around it. Which was mostly for his benefit, since he did not have the ability to turn half-human and he knew the clearing was safe. If he ventured too far he might run into strangers who were roaming around, and that might not end up well for him whether he was sure Heather would come to his aid or not.

Watching Toothless move, he would be graceful....only...his tail got in the way. She was laughing so hard, she hadn't laughed like that since she was back in her world. Sheer enjoyment, finally she decided to kick it up a notch, now using the muscles in her legs she gained a burst of speed almost inches away from Toothless's tail, she was grinning widely. Her eyes locked on the very movement of the slick black dragon.

One moment Toothless was ahead and the next Heather was suddenly too close behind him, within reaching distance of his tail. Toothless had glanced back behind him and almost tripped when he shocked at how close she was. He made a small yipping sound before looking back ahead, and pouring more strength into his stride. So Heather could run like a dragon! This was great news for him, because now this wasn't like the games of chase he would play with the kids back on Berk, by a challenging and almost dangerous game of chase that Toothless was more used to playing with his dragon friends.
He soared over the earth, colors of the forest blending green and brown, his heart pounding in his chest heavily. Now he could feel some of the strain as he muscles as he fought to run faster and stay ahead of the woman behind him, he could feel the sudden exhilaration and thrill from being in danger of being caught. It was almost all he could do not to spread his wings and try and fly on instinct.
There were no more verbal taunts now, but Toothless did it tacitly, narrowing his eyes when he glanced back at her in smirking in a way that said 'what's the matter? Having trouble keeping up?'

That smug look, it was the same as Hiei's taunting look when ever he would leave her in the dust....well not this time"Aren't we cocky..."She huffed out some steam and poured on, muscles aching, but it was so much fun, the blur of colors, watching Toothless slam into objects with his tail...wait..Her focus snapped back as she hopped over debris , branches crashing into the ground behind her...that would have hurt....but it was still fun. Laughing all the way she inched closer...so close his tail was right there... She could see the joy he had in this simple game. Her tail swaying behind her as she tried to catch up with this surprisingly agile dragon,"Okay i admit you are very good at maneuvering for a dragon."she had to yell that since the wind was taking some of her voice.
