FLANNA KELLY-MacDOWELL

Look out on a summer's day with eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Name: Flanna Kelly-MacDowell
Nicknames: none
Age: 19
Fandom: Original Character
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze, Swirling clouds in violet haze
Height: 5'0"
Weight: 120 lbs
Hair color: red
Eye color: hazel
General Appearance:
Flanna has a very pale, porcelain face, beautiful and flawlessly welded. Her eyes are a fiery hazel, surrounded by thick black eyelashes. Her hair is red but coloured with brown as well, giving it the color of chestnut. She is very small for a human, but it enables her to be graceful and dancer-like. Her fingers are long and delicate and her lips a light pink. She is short but adorable, and her small size often enables her to get anywhere unnoticed. Her eyebrows are arched and well-formed and her lips are a pale pink, very much the color of a rose. She is prone to blush at anyone speaking to her, which turns her whole face red. Also, Flanna is very prone to sunburns and has freckles that appear in the summer.
Flanna, being a true medieval, has always worn the customary dress of her day. She wears light dresses, dyed pale for her station, and occasionally woolen dresses. A favourite article of hers is her sapphire surcoat, which she wears often, both to hide from others and to warm herself in the cold. She wears worn slippers and if she is found with jewelry, it was either a present or a very inexpensive purchase. She is careful not to have too many clothes, nor to spend too much money.

Strengths: knowledge, writing, ideas
Weaknesses: sociality, strong will, fear of criminals
Fears:
-being forced to give up her playwriting.
-not finding a decent man.
-the ways of the world.
General Personality:
Flanna is extremely quiet, but she is absolutely brilliant. Her capacity for knowledge is vast, but she keeps all of her smartness inside. Mostly, she lets out her pent-up emotions in her writings--both poetry and plays--but sometimes, to the right person, she will speak up. Flanna is curious about the world but at the same time afraid of it, and tries to figure out what is around her without putting her own life in jeopardy.
She was spurned when her father was hanged, and it nearly cost her the ability to trust, but thanks to her brother Carson, she learned to love and trust again fairly easily. She has always found an extensive reserve of love in her heart, and though she is quiet and very outside of society, Flanna knows that someone will come along for her one day. She believes in destiny and true love, but she is very cautious about how she uses both her life and her knowledge. The best words to describe her are introverted, benevolent, and humble.

History:
For thirteen of her childhood years, Flanna had never questioned that her father came home every night with more jewels, more treasures, and more money. She thought that was what he did for a living, collect things. But the more he came home like this, the more her mother and him argued. And when Flanna was thirteen, she learned why. For a year after she learned how her father came about these things--stealing, killing, robbing--she lived as a fugitive with her mother and brothers.
But justs days after her fourteenth birthday, Flanna's brother Carson took her down to the town center to 'see something,' which ended up being the hanging of the great murderer Alexander McDowell. Flanna held up well as she watched her father--who she now felt like she should hate--suffer a short drop and a sudden stop. Her tears were not shed on him, but her mind was troubled and her intelligent thoughts began to grow dreary.
But over the next few years, Flanna regretted ever thinking she could hate someone. And when she was sixteen, Flanna left her Celtic home to go out and find another way to cope. This place simply was not big enough for her and the memories she had. So she parted for Aldeon, with a new identity and a promise to never tell anyone who she was the daughter of. Her name, Kelly, was good enough. So Flanna moved into Aldeon and picked up a trade she'd always loved-- playwriting. It was not conventional of a woman, but it was right for her, as it was an outlet for the emotions she'd suffered in her younger years and allowed her to speak her mind openly. But throughout this time, she suffered a deeper than words depression, plagued with feelings of unworthy and drinking.
Flanna has been mildly successful in her endeavours, but that was never what mattered to her. She is glad to live quietly in a position that she cannot be accused for, and to write out all the grievances that plagued her.
After being afraid for so long of love, Flanna has found the one. He's Kili, the only light once in her life. He corrected her, and built her a house, and married her. She knows that she could never take another after what he's done, and they now have a wonderful, perfect son together that she treasures more than her life.
