Leona could not keep the smile from her face as Thorin dragged her down the street, she knew not where they were going and she could not bring herself to care. Their ceremony had been short, sweet, to the point, but it had been beautiful, because despite the abruptness and the quickness of it all, she was tying herself to the only person who truly meant something in her life. Her lover, her best friend, her protector, her Thorin. The priest had offered them the paper to coin their names upon and before either of them could say another word she had inscribed the simple name Leona Oakenshield upon the page. She would take his name without question. She loved everything about him and while she did not know where the name had come from she did not care, if he would not worry over her past, she needn't worry over his.
She followed him loyally, keeping time with his furious pace, she knew not why he was in such a hurry but she certainly knew why she was in such a hurry. He had not even claimed her a full twenty-four hours ago and already her body ached from his absence. The soreness she did not notice any longer and whether that was from her years of tolerating pain or the simple fact that he had been so gentle with her, mattered not. She wanted him, again. She wanted him to take her as his wife not just as a pretty woman he had found at the bar. Now they were bonded, by paper, by law and by heart, but she wanted him to brand her. She squeezed his fingers, unable and unwilling to do much else in such a public setting. She did not want anyone else's attention, only his, always his.
"My King where are you taking me? Surely there must be a faster way to bed?" Her words were soft, barely there murmurs, but filled with hidden desires meant for his ears alone. He had taught her how pleasurable his body could be and she wanted to learn more.

Thorin was in a state of uncharacteristic bliss. He had been simply and quickly wed to the most precious thing he'd ever found, and there were no words for the emotions that were spinning through his mind. He loved her, like he'd never loved anything or anyone before. She was so special to him, so beautiful and wonderful that he could not keep his eyes off his bride. She had--and he wondered at it to think--taken even his name, despite how he had gotten it and she didn't even know nor care. He was astounded at how much she wanted him to be a part of her. No one had ever wanted him so much before, at least not for love. Some came to him in search of power, but he knew the difference.
He held her hand very tightly as they walked down the street, possessive of her as he was, and the stupid smile on his face would not go away for anything. But it didn't matter, not right now. He was going to take her somewhere, out where no one would find them and they could learn the ways of marriage. He knew where to they headed, but she did not. And he wouldn't tell her until they got there.
"I love you, Leona Oakenshield," he told her lightly, just to hear that name roll off his tongue. A breeze ruffled her hair, and he smiled at how lovely she was. She tightened her grip on his hand, and he was simply glad to have her at his side, forever and bound to him with a gold ring that he had bought her simply and quickly. Their rings matched, and they were bound in so many ways now. "My Queen," he grinned, "you will know soon enough. I have no permanent bed, mind you." He leaned over and kissed her, leading her out of the city.

She allowed him to lead her, trotting ever faithfully along beside him, trusting him entirely. She cared little where they went and almost breathed a sigh of relief when they neared the city borders. She cared little for the overpopulated areas, there were too many people, too many prying eyes, she preferred her solitude and her silence, the only exception of course being the man she had bound herself too, the one whom had captured her in such a short length of time. He meant everything to her. Her love, her life, her happiness, she could not exist without him. He had so quickly become her world. The smile upon her mouth, would not fade, no matter how much she willed it, her eyes continuously drifted over to her husband.
She had cared little if he had pried his name from a dead man, it was his. She wanted to be a part of him in every possible way. She had freely given him her body, her innocence, her heart, did he truly think she would not take his name? Her name brought her nothing but memories of death and betrayal, his name brought her nothing but comfort, happiness and undeniable pleasure. Why ever would she keep her own? She had never been wanted, at least not for a cause that was good she had never been needed and she had never been loved, save for by her parents, but that was so long ago she could scarcely remember what that felt like. But Thorin, just the name sent a thrill shooting along her spine.
"I love you too, Thorin Oakenshield." She loved the way her name rolled from his tongue and once she was convinced that eyes would not be upon them, she drew closer to him, pulling his hand around her waist. She only wished to be closer to him. His words were teasing as they answered her and she bit her lip, a blush rising to color her cheeks as the flirtatious words slipped from her mouth against her will. "A permanent bed I need not, just your body."

Thorin loved to have his... ahem... wife at his side as they went along, and he swore he would never leave her. She was the most perfect thing in his imperfect life, and he could not dream of having someone else here in her place. He smiled, looking over at her, seeing how absolutely gorgeous she was, and pulled her a little bit closer to him, possessive of her. She was his now, for all of eternity, and he would take her back to Middle Earth with him if that portal pulled him back home. She was not ever going to leave him, Thorin was going to be positively certain of that.
He was glad that she'd taken his name, and he would later tell her where it came from. But she had signed that name on their papers, she was officially his in name as in deed, and he was not going to argue her will. They were leaving the town now, the days becoming a little warmer, and he was taking her somewhere special, somewhere that they could be alone. No, he did not have a permanent bed, but Thorin could make one just about anywhere, and he was going to make sure that she was pleasured wherever they travelled, no matter how far they went. He loved her, and everything he did was for her. The bond of love between them was strong, and he would not ever do anything that she did not want. Now, he did not live for Erebor. He lived for her.
"I'm glad you took my name," he admitted quietly, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. "And you can have it whenever you so desire." She pulled his arm around her more, and he smiled as they walked on in the mutual silence they both loved for about half an hour, before Thorin had reached the edge of the place he'd decided to take her for her... 'wedding night.' He turned to her, took her waist gently in his hands, and kissed her. "Here we are, then, love. Just beyond this row of trees, a beach. Warm sand and the peaceful sound of waves... Join me, princess?" He smiled at her.

Her heart thundered, her smile grew as she remembered the soft vows he had spoken to her not a scarce few hours prior. The gentle words of commitment and loyalty, bound by heart, soul, body and now paper. She was legally his, in every way, shape, and form that he desired her, and she could not be more happy. He was her family, her entire world had centered to him. She knew little of fighting these monsters but she would do everything in her power to see that he was well and happy when he returned to her.
She questioned no more where he took her, giving him her trust as she had given him so many things. She would be content wherever he whisked her so long as he remained her companion. She loved him unconditionally, she cared little for his titles or his wealth. If they never returned to his world, she would die a happy woman wandering this world with him. They lapsed into a comfortable silence and she pressed tighter to his body, reveling in the hand that tightened upon her lithe waist and the kiss he placed upon her forehead. She lived only for his love. Whatever he desired of her, she would be.
His soft admittance made her smile and she buried her nose in the strong cords of his neck. Placing a gentle kiss upon his skin and inhaling sharply his scent. "You are everything to me, I want to be a part of you, all of you, your name included." She answered him just as softly, not wanting to shatter this peace. He pulled her before him, kissing her soundly and she melted against him, wrapping her arms around his waist and boldly deepening the embrace before he had the chance to pull away. He was so addicting, he called to her and she helpless to obey. She wondered if she would always crave his body, his touch as she did now...she hoped so.
She broke from him gently, teasing his lips with a few short, soft kisses, resting her forehead to his as he told her just where he had taken her. Her eyes glittered both in surprise and desire and she tightened her grip upon him, wishing he would divest himself of his armor, she could not feel his warmth through it. "You spoil me, my heart, I would join you anywhere."

They had been permanently melded together, and Thorin was so happy that he could not reasonably express it. He loved her in droves, he loved her more than anything else that ever he could have loved, and she had agreed without hesitation to be his wife. It was quite the curious thing, really, to know that they had taken their vows this morning and not known the whole truth behind each other, but that was the trust he was putting into her and she was putting into him. That their love was stronger than anything in the past. That they were a perfect match despite any of their flaws. Thorin loved Leona, and that was all that he knew.
He felt the slightest of reactions from her body as he pulled her into him and as he kissed her. She was so expressive when she was with him. She was so lovely and perfect and genuine. He chuckled a bit and brushed a stray strand of silvering hair from his head. He thought it a little funny, that he was marrying so old. Not for a dwarf, but for a human, which he was not. She was just so much younger than he. His hair, once so black, now had signs of silver. But she did not mind, and so neither would he. "Yes, yes... I like that name. It suits you... to be a part of me," he smiled, and kissed her once more, this time on the top of her pretty head.
When they stopped and he pulled her to him, she again reacted. Her body was so in tune with his, he could not help but beam. She wrapped around him and he sighed, likely loud enough for her to hear. "I love you, Leona Oakenshield," he repeated, both to confirm the magic of their relationship and to say her new name once more. His name.
"I but treat my queen as she is," he smiled, taking her kisses and then pulling her out of the trees to the beach, where he left his armor and his boots upon the tree line. He turned back to her, and whispered into the shell of her ear, "And this will be our bed for today." He embraced her, now free of the bulk of his coverings, and stroked her face. Her eyes glittered a pretty silver, and he heaved a deep breath. "I don't understand how you could ever question how lovely you are, my love. Come, come away." He kissed her and led her to where the tide did not quite reach the sand, and laid her gently upon it.

She knew his past was not so perfect and he knew her own past was not all sunshine and roses and beyond that she knew so little and his knowledge was equal, and one day, yes, she would tell him of the scars that marred her body and of the stories that haunted her dreams, but for now she put her faith and her trust in her lover and allowed him to take her where he may. She loved him, with everything that she was and she knew nothing that he would ever tell her, could change that.
When they were alone, just he and her she had no reason for walls or facades to shield her emotions from him. He was hers and she was his. She trusted him with so much of her. Heart, body, soul...why should she not trust him with her emotions, as sometimes cautious as they were she would not hide from him, not now, not ever. She would never leave him unless he one day grew tired of her, but then she would cast her own blade within the confines of her chest. She could not be without him.
She smiled finger delving into his hair, tracing the soft curls, and tugging lightly on a few stray strands, she scarcely noticed the difference of colors, he was so beautiful, her beloved. "I would like forever to be a part of you, if you would only let me." She blushed lightly as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head, giggling softly at the tender gesture. "I love you, I will love you until my last breath leaves my body Thorin Oakenshield."
He answered her with words of love and so many emotions flooded her chest she scarcely knew how to contain them. She kissed him again, attempting to explain without words how much she felt for him, how much she loved him and when she pulled away her light eyes were desperate. Desperate for more of him, his touch, his voice, his skin... anything and everything he would give her. She just wanted him.
He stripped himself of armor and heavy boots and she followed his example, removing the corset and slipping from her boots quickly. Unable to stand the separation any longer, she attended him, the moment his armor was gone, she jumped nimbly, coiling her legs around his waist and pressing her body flush against his warming heat. A stuttered moan left her mouth as she wound her arms around his neck, pressing herself impossibly closer. "I love you so much, more than I can ever hope to express. Love me Thorin, please? Take me as your wife?"
