Kurama had just about had it, he had searched the entire town where he had visited, the only thing he got out of the town was his new attire, a cotton white flannel shirt, some cotton pants, and some boots. But still he found no answers nor any rumors of anyone he knew being here in this realm, soon after departing the town with a bag over his shoulder containing the essentials he learned that there were in fact dragon caves, if she had been drawn here, perhaps he could find her. Soon a familiar voice spoke to him with in the complex mind, it was Youko.
"Shuichi...let me out...we aren't near the town anymore perhaps i can find something."but being as stubborn as he was Kurama was determined to explore as much as he could till he became exhausted, Youko would take over for him when Kurama either fell asleep, was in danger, or loss control of his emotion and became rattled. He began climbing up the rocky wall occasionally jumping with ease from rock to rock . The only problems he was worried about was if he encountered a dragon. Would Heather's teaching of the dragon tongue be effective...or did he still need more practice, he could only speak to a dragon after listening to one, he was rather quick, but still learning a new language often took time.
"Youko you can take over when i decide you can, this is my body..."Finally reaching a spot to rest he laid against the stone wall, as nice as this place was, something seemed off about it, like everything wasn't progressing, but he was determined to find out if any of his friends were here, his bright green eyes gazed became soft," I just hope your safe..."

It was a hot day... Toothless could feel the sun almost ripping into his dark scales, the heat of his inner fire only intensifying the sensation until it was painful. An adaptation to help him survive the cold and harsh wild of Berk, but was absolutely torturous to the poor dragon now in a place that was just brimming with sunshine. It was why Toothless had sought out the cool rocks and caves here, desperate to find a place where he could settle down comfortably and rest until either Hiccup called him or his heart stopped racing in his chest.
Toothless panted harshly, tongue hanging out the side of his mouth, as he walked into the mouth of the cave, instantly feeling relief against his burning paws. His wings were spread from his body, trying to spread out so the wind could get underneath them and help ease some of the heat. Which was futile since the wind was so quiet today, not like the ocean winds that were always blowing around Berk. Still, spreading out did seem to help somewhat.
Finally he found a perfect crook, right between two rocks, where he collapsed against the ground on his back, sighing and humming a bit in relief. Finally! Toothless could almost imagine steam coming off his back as he lay there, absorbing the cool and damp feeling of the rocks against his scales. Toothless stayed there for a long while, occasionally rolling over, dozing in and out as he calmed his body down.
It was during one of his little naps that a stranger decided to ascend to his cave. Toothless was curled up, nose hidden underneath his paws and his tail curled around him, ears flickering at the sound of footsteps echoing along the rocks in front of him. Slowly blinking his green eyes awake, Toothless lifted his head and gazed out at the harsh sunny entrance of his temporary home. Was someone out there climbing the rocks? It sounded like it.
Toothless waited a moment, suddenly nervous. The smell was familiar... what if whomever it was had weapons or was distrustful of dragons? Toothless got to his feet now, arching his back a bit, greens eyes narrowing. Waiting for whomever this stranger was to climb that last step and show themselves.

FINALLY!...Kurama was glad to have gotten to a point where he could stop without the fear of the whole ledge breaking, it was a good thing he chose to put up his hair, of climbing would have been very difficult. The sun was harshly beating down on his head, and having long hair...was not helping him even if it was put up, he had nowhere to keep his rose when he first attempted the climb, to his discontent he was forced to place it inside his hair between the tide part and his long strands of hair keeping it just loose enough to pull out if anything attacked.
Kurama noted there was a large cave mouth, sure it was bound to have minerals and other such things he could use to trade for supplies. But then there was the thought of it being someones home. In any case the sun was to harsh and Kurama knew he was going to need anything he could use for trade, food wasn't cheep. His footsteps started to echo a bit as he entered the cave, it was a bit cooler, suddenly a noise made the fox stop dead in his tracts, he was right. There was something inside this cave, just his luck...Kurama began to let his eyes adjust to the darker areas. Soon a large hump came into view, then some wings, finally large green eyes gleamed in the back. A dragon now was gleaming back at him. Kurama knew not to make any sudden moves and slowly moved to the side of the cave wall, giving the dragon its space, he knew from being a fox that should you corner anything even a fox, it wouldn't hesitate to fight back, and that was the last thing he wanted, a senseless fight. His girlfriend had taut him some stuff should he encounter one.
He paused, should he try he didn't know many languages of other dragons. With a soft smile he sat down against the wall his gentle voice speaking softly so not only would he spook the dragon, but the last thing he wanted besides a fight was a rock slide sealing him inside..."I won't harm you...just came to get out of the sun. Do you live here ? Can you understand me?"

In the darkness Toothless sat still, hardly breathing, nearly invisible with his dark scales if it weren't for his glowing green eyes. He watched the stranger, eyeing him carefully as he entered the cave. He would have been fine with the other not seeing him, freezing like a pheasant in the grass when it thought there was a hawk above, but the stranger started to get too close than he was comfortable with. The sound of scales scratching against rocks and his tiny warning growl vibrated off the cave walls, shifting so he could continue to face this stranger.
The stranger quickly caught on, suddenly turning and heading for the opposite side of the cave, giving him a wide berth. Toothless began to relax as he watched, grateful for the respect and growing ever curious about the strangers hair. Like when he had met Jack Frost, Toothless was fascinated with hair colors that were not, at least to him who had spent a lifetime around blondes and brunettes, normal. And he had seen red hair before, but never as red as this strangers! It was almost as crimson as the color of a Monstrous Nightmares scales!
The other smiled softly and sat down, and Toothless lost all hostility completely, purring gently. The other started to speak, and it was a kind and gentle voice, putting him at ease. The dragon drooped his wings until the tips touched the floor and hung his head, trying to mime out the words 'yes, it is hot out there is isn't it?' before sitting back up. His greens eyes were open and friendly. Toothless shook his head about living here, and nodded his head once in understanding.
Of course Toothless could understand him! He cocked an eyebrow and looked rather unimpressed by that question. The real question was could this stranger understand him? It was only recently that Toothless had met others that could speak dragon, but most other strangers could not. It seemed to be a rare kind of talent.

A chuckled escaped his lips, he found his question to be rather pointless, especially since the dragon nodded in response," I'm sorry that question was rather pointless wasn't it. Perhaps i should rephrase, you see i just recently learned how to speak dragon and i haven't gotten it down as of yet. You do remind me of someone though. Out of all the dragons I've seen, i don't believe i have ever seen one of your...species." The cave was rather dark, so he reached into his pocket and bought out a few seeds and tossed them to the ground in front of him, there a strange plant grew, a bulb at the end glowing a soft, yellow light. " Much better."His green eyes shined like emeralds as he rummaged threw his bag looking for anything he could use to show he wasn't a threat, he decided to toss the bag off to the side as a sign of peace.
"May i ask what happened to your tail?"His eyes gazed at the red object that he made out as a flap of some sort. He knew who ever made this was cleaver to have made it attach to the saddle pieces, but it would still prove difficult to fly.

Oh! Someone who had seen dragons before! Toothless' ears perked a little, and he tilted his head and narrowed his eyes, looking this stranger up and down. "Don't look like a Viking," he commented. Considering Toothless had never met others who had seen dragons before who weren't Vikings, it was a completely valid thought for him to have.
And the dragon raised his head and looked even more intrigued when the other started speaking in dragon. His ears flattened again and his tail began to flex and reflex against the ground in excitement. "Toothless is a Night Fury!"
He watched the other move to sit down, settling down a bit again himself, and his green eyes snapped to the left as the bag fly and clattered to the ground. He glanced back, head tilting to the opposite side. He was about to ask the stranger for a name, before he was distracted by the question about his tail. Toothless glanced at, flexed it, before turning back to the other again. "Toothless lost it by falling out of the sky," replied simply. "Hiccup made Toothless new one."
However, it was a distracted answer. Now Toothless stood up and took a step closer. The stranger in front of him was far more interesting. "Toothless wants to know who you is!" Especially since he smelled like... like that softness of fur.

His front forward approach and eagerness made Kurama chuckle, who was he to deny the dragon's request." I have a assortment of names, My friends call me Shuichi, some know me as the Youko Kurama, or just Kurama. Its a pleasure to meet you Toothless. Quite a peculiar name Toothless, then again I'm not one to talk am I?"
He thought for a moment,"Your right I'm not a Viking, in fact where i come from there are only ancestors of Vikings that live among the humans. They must be common from where you come from, its is quite fascinating really."He became curious about these time lines , first was blind mag with her world's in the future far beyond his, and now Toothless, who existed in the Viking era or so he gather thus far. He leaned back with a small smile," This place we seem to have come to is rather puzzling isn't it my friend.? Tell me did you come here alone like I have? You seem fairly young, of course that is merely a observation of my do correct me if i am mistaken." If there was one thing that he didn't want it was to cause this dragon to think of him as harmful or dis-respective not to mention it wasn't in his nature...well unless he was teasing Yusuke and Kuwabara, but even still it was all just for fun. His hair swayed as a cool breeze entered the cave, it was refreshing and well needed after the long climb up.
Though one thing puzzled him, how does one lose a tail, he didn't want to pry that is until Youko spoke within his complex mind." He doesn't seem to be a demon...still but he smells pure dragon. Try not to be too trusting, remember the last time..."Youko smirked as Shuichi eyebrow twitched, a obvious sign he was irritated oh how he yearned to tell his demon self to shut his arrogant mouth. He knew Youko was just toying with him, but he had the young dragon coming closer out of curiosity so his face quickly hid the sudden irritated look as he blew Youko's words off to the corner of his mind.
