Small Walk(Alice)

[Reno Raines]

Reno walked around, as he had a day off. Also being a servant he wasn't used to the whole thing, as it was rather new to him, but he was slowly getting used to it. His thoughts kept wondering towards the things he went through, and people he knew, and missed, even if Reno tried to get the thoughts away, he simply couldn't. It was rather too hard for him to think about other things, if he kept missing people he knew and cared for. Yet, it wasn't the only thing on his mind, his enemies too, as now that he was gone who knew what would happen, as well as what would they do to the people he loved and cared for. That was one of the things that bothered him, among other things.

Reno hated thinking about it, and other things, but he couldn't help it. He didn't trust his enemies, Dutch included and others like him. Reno wished there was away to know for sure what was going on, but he knew that there was no way for it, as that made him sighed, clearly annoyed, as well as upset about it. He shook his head, as he tried to think about better things, and as soon as he snapped out of his thoughts, he noticed that he was about to collide with someone, so he stopped himself before that even happened. Reno watched the person concerned, with an apologetic look.

"I am so sorry, I am glad no one got hurt. Also it was my fault, I was lost in thoughts, some worries run in my mind, but that is no excuse! Forgive me for that, even if we didn't bump in to each other, it is still bad." he said, and sighed. As Reno realized that he might as well introduce himself, but he wasn't sure how, as he wasn't used to all of it. He took a deep breath. "I am Vince Black, nice to meet you. And Sorry, once more" Reno said a minute later and looked around, then back at the person, as he extended his hand to shake the young woman's hand.

Alice Hamilton had been here for half a day or so. She had already met a strange character but she knew that she had to keep going, that she had to search everywhere to find her father, her mother, Jack Heart, and Hatter. She needed to find her friends before the Queen of Hearts or anyone that worked for her had found her first. Alice continued to walk and look around the town. She was just not in the mood for anything right now. She still wore her blue dress, red leggings and brown boots. She also had on the coat from Hatter still which was used to hide the mark given to her by the light. The green mark was gone now though, which Alice thought was strange.

Alice looked around and she shook her head. She was getting nowhere fast and she needed to find somewhere safe to stay, something along those lines. Alice was not paying attention to what was going on around her. Alice looked up at the man who was about to run into her. He had said that he is sorry and that he is glad no one got hurt. Alice nodded as he continued to talk. Alice then looked over at him when he said his name is Vince Black and apologized once more.

“no, your fine. Don’t apologize.” Alice said, backing away from him. She didn’t know the man and she didn’t want to accidentally mix herself up with the wrong people. She was too nervous, too cautious.

"You sure about it? And are you alight? Hey, hey I don't want to hurt you, I have no intention of hurting you" Reno said, as he watched her closely. He sighed, as he didn't mean to scare her, also he wasn't sure about her either, but he surely didn't wish to hurt her so. Reno looked around then back at her, as he wasn't sure what to think of it. He didn't know whom to trust and whom not, but he gave people a chance, unlike the young woman in front of him. He wasn't sure he could tell her everything, but so far she didn't seem bad or anything like that. Reno wasn't going to hurt her, unless he had no other choice, like she hurt people he cared for or something like that, and since none of it has happened, not yet. So he had no reason to hurt her, which was why he was surprised that she was scared of him.

Reno figured that she must have guarded childhood, or something like that, as it was the only explanation for her being scared easily. Either that or the fact that she was hurt before, which if it was the case he could easily relate. His mother died, and for a while he thought his brother was dead, until the truth came out, and he got his brother back. Though that was too close, he almost got himself killed that day, but luckily he didn't. His 15-year-old niece went missing, and it had been a while since then, and he doubted that they would ever find her. Then it was him losing his fiance', and betrayed by cops and what not, as well as being framed. Which was example to why he could easily relate to people who went through terrible things.

Bad things he never wished on anyone, unless they were criminals, and such but that was a different story all together. That was why when people went through something terrible, he right away felt bad for them unless they deserved it. Yet, since the young woman in front of him didn't seem like she deserved it, Reno truly felt bad for her, as he wondered what happened and hoped that if someone hurt her, in any shape or form then they paid for it, as they deserved it, as no one deserved to suffer, only the ones who make innocent people suffer. "If I wanted to hurt you, I would have but I didn't, so that should tell you that I am not your enemy" Reno said, as he watched her closely, he looked around then back at her.

Alice Hamilton looked at the man and she still felt uneasy. He seemed to have noticed too. He then asked if she was sure about it and if she was alright. Alice looked at him again when he said that he didn’t want to hurt her and had no intention in doing so. Alice smiled and gave a small laugh and shook her head. “no, its not you, you don’t look like them anyway, in fact you don’t look like any one from there.” Alice replied to him, wondering why she was working herself up like this. It seemed to be that she was the only one here from Wonderland, which was the last thing she wanted. She wanted to be with Hatter again and Charlie. They are her friends and she would do anything to help them at this point. They have gone through so much together, her and Hatter.

Alice let out a small sigh and she looked at him with a smile after he said that if he wanted to hurt her he would have done it already and that would tell her that he isn’t her enemy. “yeah it might be a little harder to do that than you think.” Alice half joked. It was true though. She is a black belt and owns her own dojo. Alice smiled to him. “the past few days have been crazy for me. I’m Alice Hamilton.” Alice introduced herself, waiting to tell him about Wonderland. She didn’t want him to think she is crazy like that place is.

Reno watched her and sighed. He felt bad for her, as he hated that he scared her. If it was something to do with him, that is. Reno watched her when he spoke and sighed. He then looked down and back at her, as he smiled back at her. "Alright then, and I am not who? I don't look like who? I don't look like them for sure, whoever they are as am not them" Reno said, as he raised an eyebrow, a little amused by the conversation. Well last part of it, that is. He looked around, then back at her, as he hoped that she was alright. He had a feeling that she missed someone or few people, which if that was the case then they could definitely relate. Reno missed a lots of people too, yet while he was here, he didn't mind making another friend or two, and would defend his new friends like his old friends, no matter what. This definitely included the young woman before him. Reno was caring guy, and he proved it whoever he could. No matter what. Anyway, Reno watched her, as he smiled at her. He hoped that she won't worry much, because not only he won't hurt her, but he won't let other hurt her either, as that was just the way he was.

When he said the next, he watched her and sighed. Reno then listened to her and shrugged. "I am not sure about it, but that doesn't matter because I am not going to anyway" he said to her. Reno trained with Martial arts since he was very young kid, as he learned from his older brother. so wasn't sure which one of them would be better, but what he did know was that didn't matter, as he wasn't about to fight her anyway. Reno watched her, as he smiled back at her, once more. "Aww, really? Sorry to hear that, also mine is too. Nice to meet you Alice Hamilton, it i very nice to meet you! As I said, I am Vince Black" he said, as he extended his hand, gently to shake hers. Reno looked down then back at her. "How long are you here, by the way?" he asked over sudden, as he just tried to be sure, as he wondered if they were there the same among of time, or not. After all everything was possible, and Reno knew that rather well.

Alice Hamilton looked around the area that they were standing. She was looking for the Queen’s suits, making sure that she was the only one here from Wonderland. She liked that idea, partially. She needed to keep the ring safe and having it on her finger. Alice was just worried that she would run into the wrong people while she was here. Alice looked at him when he spoke again. He was smiling and she hoped that she didn’t make herself to be such a bitch. He had asked her questions about who he didn’t look like. Alice decided to tell him because she was afraid of him getting caught up in her mess now to.

“The suits, the Queen’s army. The Queen of Hearts runs Wonderland through a casino and emotions taken from humans who they call oysters, people from my world, not Wonderland.” Alice said, giving him the shorter version of that story.

Alice looked at him. She studied him. He seemed like a nice guy and maybe he could help her find her friends or somewhere to stay or something along those lines. She had just met him and she didn’t really want to ask him for anything right away. Hatter had offered his help right away which was why she trusted him, sort of, though now she trusts him more.

“feelings mutual.” Alice laughed a little. He had told her that he was sorry to hear everything has been insane for her and he had said the same thing. Alice smiled. He then said it was nice to meet her and repeated his name, Vince Black. Alice shook his hand after he had held it out. He then asked her how long she had been here.

“a day or two, and I am sorry about your past few days being rough too. This is just one big adjustment I was not ready to make.” Alice smiled.

Reno watched her and sighed, as he looked around, then back at her. He was glad that Dutch, nor others like him were around, as he had no time for it at all. However, at that moment Reno was more worried about Alice, as he wondered if she was alright or not, and what scared her, if she was scared that is. He watched her as he spoke, and didn't think nothing bad about her at all, as she wasn't bad and he knew that, he could tell. When Reno asked what he asked, he watched her closely, as he waited for her reply, as he wondered what would her reply be, as he hoped that she told him, also he won't force her, if she decided not to tell him, but that was besides the point. He wanted for her to decide to tell him or not, without him asking her to tell. Reno did hope that she would feel like she can trust him, because she truly could trust him. Since he was a trust worthy guy, and he hoped that she knew it, or noticed it, or both for that matter.

"Suits? Queens army? They are after you? What for? You are nothing but a sweetheart, why would anyone be after you? Also I know how that is like, but it's a long story! Through a casino you can get to the wonderland place?She runs wonderland through that casino? Really?I believe you, just curious is all. Also it is hard to believe, but after all that I went through after getting here, and after all I have see, I believe anything!Although, it does sound very weird, won't lie, but you look really worried about it, and if it wasn't real, you wouldn't be scared, would you? No one will dare hurting you, I promise you that. Because I won;t let themm hurt you! They take their emotions?Why?They won't touch you, ever again, won't let the,no matter who or what they are." he said, as he watched her closely. If he heard about all of it before, he probably wouldn't have believed it, but now he did, after all he heard about, and people he met, as well a what he witnessed, he couldn't not believe. Everything pointed to the fact that it was true. As well as the fear Reno seemed to notice when she spoke of it. whether in her tone of voice, or on her face, even both, at least he saw fear in her face, and heard it in her voice anyway.

Reno watched her and sighed. As he wondered if she needed help or not, also he planned to help her either way, just in case. However, even if she told him herself that she needed help, he still would help, as that was the way he was, that was Reno for you. He was a sweet and kind guy, who cared for people, and who always would, nothing or no one would change that about him. Even under a spell, because that won't be him, the real him is the way he was as himself. anyway, Reno considered offering her help, if she didn't ask for him to help on her own.

He laughed with her. "Well that's good to know" As Reno spoke once more, and said what he said, he watched her, as he was curious about her reaction. He smiled back at her. Reno watched her, as he said that it was nice to meet her, as he smiled at her. When he extended his hand to shake hers, he watched her with a smile, as they shook hands. Reno asked how long she was there, as he watched her closely, as he waited for her to reply to him, as he was curious to know what would be her answer to that.

"Day or two? Aww, sorry to hear that, I am here longer but sorry to hear you were drugged here from your world! Hopefully here you would be safer from the ones after you. Just too bad you are away from the people you love and care for! More then past few days, but thanks, that means a lot. I wish that wasn't the case, well I wish I didn't go through what I did, but unfortunately I went through it, just as I wish you didn't go through the bad things you have, but unfortunately you have! I bet no one does, but that is life, nothing is as you expect" Reno said to her, as he smiled back at her.
