Ruby was engaged. She was engaged. She was in love and she was engaged to her aforementioned sweetheart... it seemed like an impossible dream. For so long she had been afraid of the control she had so sorely lacked. She had been afraid of love, afraid she was too large of a monster to ever contain something as brilliant and beautiful as love. She was a creature of destruction and death, love she be beyond her and yet... Dorian meant the world to her. He was her everything. Earth, moon, sun and stars. Instinctively, she twirled her engagement ring upon her finger. God how she loved him.
A smile graced her face at the mere thought of him and delicately, she perched herself on the edge of the fountain, eyes lost in a haze of wonderous memories as her fingers formed ripples in the fountain. Despite the return of both Cora and Regina neither had made a strike... save for the taking of her heart, but that was a prize she was unlikely to get back. She sighed softly, resting her hand against her chest, she could not feel the beat of the organ that Dorian owned. Cora had taken her heart and it angered her. It should be in Dorian's possession if anyones besides her own. She gave a soft sigh, but her body was relaxed. her lover was away and she was dreadfully bored. She missed him more than she cared to admit.
The sound of footsteps gained her attention, the sun was falling from the sky, the courtyard was mainly cleared of inhabitants, she thought it had been just her and the cool waters of the fountain. She was obviously mistaken. her head tilted to the side as the gentlemen approached her. What could he possibly wish of her? Red was at a loss, but she waited calmly with a patient smile.
